  3. A little update for you guys. New clutch is fitted, spent about 12 hours all in with two people over two days. Went off without a hitch! Taking off the old clutch made the cause of the noise readily apparent; two of three metal straps holding the pressure plate together was broken! This caused a rough idle and an ungodly rattle with the clutch pedal depressed. Lifted the car by the gearbox side motor mount with an engine lifter and put it on tall jack stands, removed the battery and battery tray. Next we unbolted the wheel well cowling(?)/plastic and the lower control arm for the bushings on the drivers side (Norway so LHD not RHF) so we had space to pull the driveshaft out completely, right hand side driveshaft only need unbolting from the gearbox. After all the bits and bobs on the gearbox was out we dropped it from the bottom with one person underneath. This was a bit finicky but it was enough space to do it without too much trouble. Gearbox oil changed, new clutch slapped on. We didn’t have the tool to compress/pretension the pressure plate so we used a simple centering tool and gradually torqued the screws to 20nm in typical zig zag fashion. With me lying on a creeper/roller and the gearbox on my chest lifted the gearbox and mated it back to the engine with the other person standing above the engine bay and lifting from there. This wasn’t super easy, but a bit of finessing and manouvering of the gearbox did the trick. Highly recommend being two for this job, especially for the mounting and dismounting of the gearbox. The 12 hours includes coffee breaks, googling stuff and a trip to the local parts store. For the algorithm: This was done on a manual 2013 Audi A3 8V 1.4 TFSI CMBA 122bhp engine, gearbox code is MYF/0AJ.

  5. At this point in life, bad situation emerge for us to learn our mistakes and figure out what next is to be done. I'm really delighted I eventually found a real competent hacker after been spammed by several sham hackers I followed their Bogus recommendation. Never knew that my wife Had a son out of wedlock without informing me about it for almost 12years of our relationship until I noticed she picks strange calls on her phone and send some money to strange man. As much as it is inappropriate to spy on one's spouse phone it's also necessary to be sure that your relationship is in perfect shape. All my gratitude goes to this Genuine GeniusHacker-:jamesmckaywizard at gmail dot com who got to clone/hack her phone completely to the extent that I had a clone of her phone and could read all her whatsapp & amp;Facebook message, call logs text message and GPS to know where and what she is always up to. I'm really grateful for this great experience, it really helped me find out the truth about my marriage. They are also specialize on hacking and recovery of lost funds, kindly send a message if you've experience any of these issues..Email: jamesmckaywizard at gmail dot com or WhatsApp +31657.4.46.248. Kindly reach out to them and thank me later.
  6. Looking at it closely I think it's just staining and not actually a deep crack , it's like the edges of wet staining. The car is driving to well for me to believe that the gearbox is cracked, When I look there is no sign of oil leaking down from the marks . That surly would suggest that it's not leaving oil out .
  7. Also the car is driving perfect, no skipping gears , smooth gear changes , everything seems normal .
  8. Did a bit of further investigation and something the scares the s**t outta me , what looks like a small hairline crack along the metal over the plastic sump , it doesn't look like oil is leaking out of it looks dry around it , can these cases get small hairline cracks that don't go the whole way through , so they actually don't leak ? Surely the would be fluid marks running down from the crack , and there is also never oil on ground underneath the sump

  12. This is brilliant work
  13. Hi guys, this is my first time joining, and my first time posting. Definitely won’t be my last time. This is because I just recently picked up an Audi a4 B8 saloon 2008 and I’m loving it apart from some problems which I’m trying to solve. I do things myself DIY, and I need guidance for this issue. I will attach a link from my YouTube with this issue. Whenever I turn the wheel I hear a clunk from inside the car I’m not sure what it is. I’ve read multiple different opinions based on what it is but I’m hoping for some more help. Any help would be so appreciated. Thank you so much. I’m still getting used to this platform so if I take time responding, please bear with me thanks again guys
  14. I've had bad experiences in the past but this consultant has gone out of his way to book repairs and do free of charge repairs to try and fix this issue! - Bought it in October last year but had issues linked to this and all free of charge repairs to which I am grateful for! I think I've just had some bad luck but it's hard to tell but the technician telling me that has sort of made me go crazy Other than this, it's a great car but just a super annoying noise that sounds like I am sitting on a springy bed at times - thank you again for all your help!
  15. Hello Frank, Well worth searching EBay. Please let us know how you get on. Regards, Gareth.
  16. Hi, i have a problem with my AC, i have a fault code, as anyone seen this before E.PA.RPC.71 (2505311808)
  17. I am not aware of alarms for gearbox oil level, only for engine oil level, but maybe I am out of date on that score. Maybe somebody else will chip in with an opinion.
  18. The "consultant" is not trying to help you. He is trying to palm you off with excuses to avoid having to fix the problem which will cost his company money and reduce his commission. Look beyond the sharp suit and the fancy title, and you will see he is just a secondhand car salesman. A breed with a well deserved reputation for being economical with the truth. If you bought the car in the last 30 days you are entitled to a refund or a free repair.
  19. I’m still learning “to drive” this forum and don’t know how to search it yet lol
  20. Yes the reflectors are fine and lenses are pretty clean there is no “smoke stain” (all I can think of explaining what I mean) on inside face of glass. I will order new bulbs at least then I know they are ok thanks again for your time 👍
  21. Smiles your not wrong it already looks so much better happy days
  22. Thank you so much - It is driving me crazy and the consultant is doing his best to help including getting a second opinion, I was a bit confused when the specialist told me it's normal and it's just tension when the courtesy car and my previous aygo have made any of these noises!
  23. Ya will do thanks . I'd imagine if it was leaking for a long time I'd have some alarm by now.
  24. Fair enough, but if you began to see oil spots on the ground where you park don't delay doing something about it.
  25. hi has anyone out there got a 16" space saver wheel pcd of 5x100 for sale or would like to swap for a space saver wheel 5x100 18" not used if so please let me know cheers
  26. Never get an alarm in the car for low level gearbox oil , and no trace of any oil on the ground where i park , think it might just be a case of a sloppy mechanic when last serviced , which was 45000 km ago . And haven't had to top it up since .
  27. Thanks Brian, Autodoc has had mention in relation to the supply of incorrect parts. I’ve never been affected by this, because I don’t buy from them, preferring not to pay highish postage charges compared with other suppliers. Regards, Gareth.
  28. Absolutely Martin - it’s your car, and you are free to do with it what you will, and my feeling is that any advice given ( when asked for) which doesn’t concur with your views, will be ignored. I certainly won’t be chasing you again for a thread-closing update, since I feel the tread will remain as ‘unsolved’ anyway.
