  2. While I am sceptical of these fuel additives, I am open to persuasion by long term results. The treatment may solve a sticking pressure switch in the short term but I question if it can solve the more fundamental problem of the exhaust system being blocked by soot, which is what the DPF switch is telling you. If the treatment fails to work I understand it is possible to induce an exhaust regeneration with VCDS or similar equipment. Others here may be able to confirm this point.
  3. Hi all, Not been here in a while, as the convertible is behaving itself... 馃槅 However, the other day, the DPF light came on, along with a beep. I dealt with it as I usually do, by taking the car up the three-mile bypass at 70 in fourth gear - an Italian tune-up. This has always worked in the past, but not now... 馃 So, I bought a bottle of this stuff... ...which arrived this morning. I've put it in the tank, but haven't taken the car out yet. If it works - huzzah! - but what advice if it doesn't? 馃 Cheers, Mike 馃槑
  4. Yes, the new battery was replaced following AUDI/VW BATTERY CODING USING VCDS. This was done a few months ago now and car has been working perfectly since(even the Start/Stop system began to kick in again as it hadn't been with my ailing battery). Latest is that I booked the car in at Audi Guildford on Monday for a diagnostic appointment(拢150) and included the fault code output I posted here. I took the car out for a brief road test earlier and even after driving it quite hard(>5000 rpm), there were NO further issues, NO EPC warning light etc., so all seemed good(I wasn't driving hard when the fault happened). My opinion is that the fault was triggered by the hot weather we had yesterday in the UK, that coupled with possibly some part of the fuel system that has degraded over the past 11 years. Hopefully, Audi(Lookers) can shed some light on whether anything needs replacing. My main concern was whether the car was still drivable after yesterday and all I can say is so far so good. I'll be wary the next time I'm on a long run though 馃槵. Any comments ? Thanks, Richard
  5. To update everyone, After months of issues and nothing happening I today was told to report all faults to Audi Customer Relations. They were really helpful but like everyone else their hands are tied but the more people who report faults the more chance of issues being resolved. So please all 0800 699 888 and report the faults, the more they get the more pressure it puts on Audi. Should not be paying the large amounts of money we are all paying to have these issues.
  6. Hey all Have an annoying issue , my mmi sound stops working from time to time , i have to turn off car and unplug the leads from the amplifier in the boot for around 10 min and then reconnect and it works again . Has anybody else has this issue , is there a better way to fix this without having to unplug everything ? turning mmi off and on doesn't work . Thanks
  7. You'll have to go into your profile and do it that way I believe.
  8. Today
  9. Thanks.How do I do it though?
  10. I hid your one and only topic a couple of hours ago so that it is invisible to members. As far as I can see you are the only person who can cancel your membership.
  11. Can a moderator please cancel my membership and confirm Roger (membership name Riger)
  12. Was it coded to the car? It needs to be.
  13. I've recently bought a 2015 TT, and am trying to fit my existing Nextbase dashcam. I've bought the hardwire kit but I'm having a mare in getting it to work!! 馃槴 I've tried mutiple fuses (F40-CigLighter, F28-MediaPort, F17 InstrumentCluster), but nothing is giving the cam any power at all. The tap fuse is in the right location, and I'm trying it with the igition on. Also can't seem to find a good place to connect the spade connector to the bodywork - is there a way to feed it out the back of the glovebox somewhere, either to the engine bay or out to the side to get to the bodywork? Will the cam work without this being connected? Any help/suggestions/advice would be most appreciated! 馃檹
  14. If the dipstick is showing ok then I'd say it's the oil.levdl sensor at fault. You'll need a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up
  15. Please keep us posted on how you get on
  16. Cheers thanks I have went with the dip stick. The alarm is still on
  17. Hi everyone, Just a quick question. Does anybody know where I can get a couple of the bolts that secure the EPB to the caliper on an A4 B8. If not does anybody know the size of them. Thanks
  18. I replaced the sensor and the fault disappeared you can watch on you tube how to replace it was a bit fiddly but took minutes. I have a q5 2019
  19. I understand now. If the car has a rear facing camera or radar linked to the brakes than it makes sense to disable that system when towing. I assume, perhaps wrongly, that Audi would have planned for that possibility and that the electrical connections at the tow ball would automatically disable that function.
  20. Hi, i have the same problem too, the sensor came today, Ive got no fault codes that come up on my 拢50 Amazon diagnostic tool, which is normally pretty good. if I change the sensor, do you need to get someone with a better diagnostic tool to clear the fault? Or are you ok to just change the sensor and leave it at that? Ive that the servo restricted error come on twice, but its not on all the time, thanks in advance,
  21. Ah thanks - that sounds like it's more sophisticated than mine then! Definetly doesnt have side assist or indicators in the mirrors. I will try and get somewhere with audi just to check
  22. Sorry Adam I won't sign up to anything to watch your video. My concern about the door was whether it was sagging because of worn hinges, which would be unusual on a 15 year old car, or the body had been twisted in a crash, which in turn might explain the cill damage on the other side. If you are satisfied the problem is merely worn hinges than all is well. I suggest you sort out the hinges before renewing the seals otherwise the new rubber will soon be damaged.
  23. Thanks @Steve Q, battery was replaced recently. I did google some of the fault codes and this looks a good match for the issue that occurred yesterday. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2017/MC-10127910-9999.pdf Referenced from this article https://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/981284-Fuel-Issue-Diagnostics I haven't tried the car yet today but it is cooler so it may be ok at least for me to get it to a garage. Thanks Richard
  24. That's good if that's the case. Audi could definitely tell you.
  25. From the 2018 broshure it looks like it is only in the City Assist pack. Front pre-sense is standard, but rear only with pack. This is the City Assist info and has 3 parts: Audi Side Assist When activated, the system aids the driver when changing lanes. Audi Side Assist monitors the area behind the vehicle, using radar sensors located discreetly in the rear bumper, informing the driver with a visual warning signal in the door mirror if there is a vehicle in their blind spot or approaching quickly from behind Pre-sense Rear Monitors vehicles following from behind, and if a potential collision is detected, the driver is first warned visually via a flashing light. Audi Pre-sense Basic measures (e.g. closing windows) are initiated and then if a collision is unavoidable, the system will tighten the front seat belts. The system is deactivated when towing Cross Traffic Assist Front Within system limits, warns the driver of traffic crossing in front or to the side of the vehicle, using vehicle sensors. The system first alerts the driver visually and then acoustically via the MMI. A brake jolt is applied if a potential collision is detected. The system can also assist the driver at crossings and exits with poor visibility, and warn against a possible collision with oncoming traffic detected from the side
  26. Hi Ian, It`s in the 5th picture from the bottom in my guide as well. Regards Vytas
  27. It might be worth you speaking to Audi to see if they can tell you.
