  2. If it is secondhand parts you want go to a car breaker. Why the clause about upgrading?

  4. Blinking heck Tony, For the overall cost of buying and running this, I would want slates on the roof, and a council tax bill! I’m well qualified in the pensioner category, but the insurance on my prestige brand non - Audi is not that much more than what you are about to pay for your luxury car tax. In case it helps, I have been insured with Darwin ( subsidiary of Churchill) for a couple of years. Worth a try? Regards, Gareth.
  5. Hello Eamon? You seem to have altered your name to something implausible. Any reason? The chances of anyone having these are slim enough to ignore the possibility, let alone the postage cost to get them to you. Depending on fronts or backs, Parts in Motion seem to be listing pairs of rears from around £48 inc. postage. Please amend your name, and let us know what you think. Regards, Gareth.
  6. Hi I have a brand new still in unopened box rs3 style front bumper to fit a3 8y all models apart from the rs3. £450 I bought this for a project car myself and my son are building (his 1st car). It’s a a3 8y s line 1L with light front end damage. We are building it as a Rs3 replica and have decided to use original rs3 parts.
  7. Read a similar error, that was eventually traced to a vacuum leak off the EGR cooler. I think at the very least you are going to need VCDS and then measuring blocks which basically gives you live data. The fault code is one thing, but you need to understand why, and live data should help pinpoint. This was on 2010 model. https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/378244/
  8. Go to a professional body shop. Had a similar issue with an old 2012 A4 Allroad. It’s classed as Platinum Grey 1RR, however will no doubt vary across models. When I spoke to Audi main dealer, it didn't even show up as a code. Phoned a few body shops and ones that are Audi and Porsche approved and they said it can’t be blended. Entire panel would need to be painted. As it’s matt/satin effect, it’s notoriously difficult to achieve consistent effect with rattle cans. Hope that helps.
  9. ErWin, pay to view. You can download and print off pages you need. Given only 2018, then you’re going to need VCDS, plus if you buy additional parts, bear in mind they need to be new, otherwise you get into security component protection which only ODIS dealer level software can clear.
  10. I'm looking into replacing the engine on an A3 1.0 TFSI 2018 model. What would be a good source of information on the procedure for removing and replacing the engine, such as a suitable workshop manual? I have found the Haynes manuals, but they don't seem to cover this kind of thing and they are generally a bit crap. Thanks.

  12. Not sure if I'm keeping the thing. But would only be interested in parts from folk who upgraded and the removed parts had plenty of life in them. If anyone has a link for the 400mm discs, new or used, feel free to reply. Ta.
  13. Hi, so same happened to me… A7 50tdi 2019, all codes matched the document from previous posts, Audi UK pays for everything. Dealership said that the issue is known for about half a year and I should get back my car on Monday. Buckinghamshire
  14. Andy - Apple CarPlay is the app that enables your iPhone to work with the mmi. It's more than as Bluetooth connection it displays apps on the mmi screen and let's you use your iPhone apps on the mmi screen. If you plug in through your USB it should ask if you want to use carplay. I suspect that you also have wireless carplay capability - either way it makes your iPhone much more integrated with your car and you shouldn't need a USB stick.
  15. Any comments on the above responses Mandy? I know you have seen them.
  16. Worth trying Ali-express (China). I had a set from them for a non-Audi and was pleased with them. Regards, Gareth.
  17. Coming on here because I am out of ideas, I have an 2.0tdi 2009 (140) and it has a glow plug light that comes on as soon as the car is started and stays on and sometimes an engine light and the code is p2563. I changed the turbo actuator, the egr, n75. Didn’t work so I took it to a specialist and they tested the turbo and actuator and was working fine and boosting. They then said it was the egr intercooler which I got changed and the lights are still on the dash. When you clear the code it comes back on a few seconds after the engine is started and the engine makes a slightly different noise when the coil light re appears. I just can’t seem to get any answers or solutions so was just seeing if anyone has had the same issue and fixed it…
  18. Hi and thanks for the reply. Yes we have played music through the blue tooth connection via Apple phone. I have, since posting found out how to play FLAC files from a USB stick. Still leaves the question of whether apps can be downloaded onto the MMI, allowing direct access to Radio Paradise, but is not really a major inconvenience. Ideally I would like to download Qobuz onto the MMI as well, but hey. Cheers Andy
  19. Hey, anyone upgraded their discs and have the old ones gathering dust with still plenty of life in them?
  20. might need to go to a paint suppliers and get it scanned or matched to colour a chip.
  21. Your car should have Apple Carplay either wirelessly or through the USB C cable. The android equivalent - android auto - allows me to load internet radio stations and should allow you to play your music from your itunes library. Google is your friend - so carplay with internet radio stations would be a good start. Alternatively - get a spotify account and connect to it via carplay.

    Mmi system

You could try contacting these guys - https://www.hazzydayz.com/ - they do a lot of VAG work with various hardware and software options. You probably have mmi navigation plus and I don't think that there are many hardware options but you can get map updates from people like the one I mentioned above or just google "mmi navigation plus updates". With a 2019 build you might have google maps as standard. I generally use android auto and waze for navigation - it's much better than the built in option.
  23. I Have a Audi Quattro 3.0 TDI 2015 MODEL. I Am looking to fit Mud flaps to the front and rear. I Know Audi never made mud flaps for this car. Does anyone know if it is possible to get rubber mud flaps for this car. I would be very grateful if any body knows where i can get them.
  24. Not necessarily so. As I mentioned in an A6 C5 topic I only recently discovered the previous owner of my car had removed the EGR valve, however I had no problems with emissions when I put the car through its MOT in September. I realise this may not be the case for everyone but that's my personal experience if it's any help.
  25. Do t get me started. My wife's Jag xe is getting harder and harder to insure. Companies don't want to touch anything from the jaguar land rover group. It's about time insurance companies were more heavily regulated
  26. The stink may be unrelated to the DPF. For example paint or oil or underseal spilt onto the exhaust will slowly be burning off. There may even be a dead animal decomposing.
  27. Probably, but there would be no point if the battery is damaged, so get it tested first.
