Hi yes as after the car has been running and up to temperature the rubber boost pipes expand and become softer so any splits/bad joints start letting air out, my guess would be a split in any pipe from the turbo down its an easy spot as where the leak is will be oily and without getting yourself caught on anything you can usually feel the air escaping, the other way is get an empty spray bottle and fill it with water and a drop of washing up liquid, shake it up and spray the foam on the hoses, if its leaking you will soon see the foam move. Hi, I have a C7 2017 RS6 with MMI - I bought the connect service last year and now its expired. Honestly, I don't see what is not working - put another way, what does the service provide that my independent data SIM (which works fine) does not? Google maps didn't work anyway and the Audi maps are fairly out of date as well - with no option to update them. Apple carplay is what I use anyway, with Waze. Am I missing something? Hi, I've got a crack in the windscreen of my 2012 S8 and my local Audi Main Dealer just told me that they don't replace windscreens and couldn't even give me a price on a replacement windscreen. I'm a bit concerned about handing it over to someone like Autoglass as I know there are a lot of cameras and sensors in the windscreen for the automatic braking and the adaptive cruise control and they will need ere-calibrating after a windscreen swap. Also, I had bad experiences with Autoglass on two vehicles that I owned in the past. I live up in the highlands of Scotland which makes things even more 'interesting'. Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations? TIA,

Thanks. That's really good for a 40 TFSI. I typically get between low 50's and low 60's depending on how and where I drive. I have had 75mpg on a good run. With the fuel tank being quite a bit smaller than the petrol, I calculated how much it would cost vs petrol for a full tank from empty and then topping it up by a further 14 litres for the same amount of fuel as the petrol car can hold. So petrol would cost £79.38 and diesel £83.16. A conservative estimate for miles from a full tank vs a 35 TFSI, and being slightly biased towards the petrol with the estimate, sees 513 miles from the diesel vs 432 from the petrol.

Will certainly look into that Gareth....I'm sure we're not the only forums to have members ghost the site once they have read the response. Also, wonder whether many members use the email to register but not always visit their mailbox to check for responses

Hey @jonnnnny how did you get it fixed in the end? A delete or new parts? My A4 B9 is currently sitting at 70m no restart and been quoted £395 to delete -still in two minds whether to have it properly looked at and potentially end up with a bill of £2k+ for new parts.

On a good run including a good chunk of motorway and country lane driving, before back into the city my 40 TFSI can get 45mpg. That same route with more traffic in places and a heavier foot in others still is almost 40 mpg. In traffic at crawling speed which we suffer often, it can be below 20 on a short drive. What are you getting?

Don't really want to change the hub, ideally I want bolt on kits for now.... Seen someone say some Porsche brakes bolt straight on Is this true??

Brembo big brake kit? Or calipers with discs/pads from a S3/rs3? You might need to change the hubs too though

2008 Audi S5 4.2 Litre V8 Quattro 350BHP Manual 2 Door Coupe. I am selling on behalf of my partner who is not on here, his beloved S5 Naturally Aspirated 4.2 litre V8, metallic grey 2 door coupe with cream leather electric heated recaro seats and dual climate control. This is an awesome sounding and very powerful car! MOT's until 20th Feb 2025 Owed since August 2022 and he has loved every single time he has driven it and got to listen to that engine!! Video of engine starting from cold start should have loaded ok, if not please ask and i can send. This is a very reluctant sale, he loves V8's and this was his dream car but due to back issues and getting in and out of the car he now needs a higher up car. So the car isn't being sold because he wants to sell it but because he needs to. It is a very good, reliable, tidy, straight and unmodified car. The engine and gear box are all good. The mileage is 124274 but will go up slightly as the car is still used at weekends. There are a few niggly things. Some ages related marks and some chips on the nearside front of the bumper. There is also a larger scratch on the lower nearside of the bumper by the spot light ( see photos ) There is also a bit of a clicking noise coming from the passenger side vent when you put the heating on. He thinks it's just a flap inside that clicks past where it should and is sticking a bit. It does it momentarily when the temperature is adjusted in the cabin and then stops - not a major problem. Comes with only one key. Bit of wear to the bolster of the drivers seat but no holes. He has kept all receipts for any work that he has had done. There is no full service history with the car - however he bought it from our mechanic who rebuilt our V8 engine on a previous A6 that we used to have, we have not found this to be a problem as we trust his work and we know he looked after the car before he bought it from him. He had to get both door catch mechanisms changed as they were playing up, they work perfectly now. New battery fitted last year. Oil and filter change with MOT in Feb. The Audi is sold as seen, no part exchanges, no stupid offers and no time wasters. As stated at the beginning this is a very reluctant sale due to health reasons only and we will miss the car. It is a chance to own what is becoming an appreciating classic, a more rare car and rarer engine as the V8's are slowing disappearing. It has been very reliable, and it a very powerful car - not for the faint hearted! Price is £5,600. We are based in Gloucestershire. I don't blame you refusing to go into London. If it's not the ULEZ it's the 20mph limits or the no right turns at certain hours. It's nigh on impossible to drive into and out of central London without earning a fine of some sort.

Hi, I've recently brought a 2019 A3 saloon and I'm looking at big brakes all round any advice??

Replaced my intake air temp sensor after plugging in my diag iPad revealed the code. Now that I have replaced it I still have the fault code does this sensor require programmed in as I’ve watched a few videos showing it red on the diag laptop and the mechanic clicks on it and turns it green ?
