Exhaust-like smoke from turbo (?)

Featured Replies

Hello!

Bought a 2010 Audi A3 2.0 TD a couple weeks ago, and yesterday I noticed some smoke coming out of the bonnet while stuck in traffic.

I pulled over and checked the engine, and noticed exhaust-like smoke blowing out of the area circled in the picture below.

Smoke is not excessive and I only noticed it thanks to the lights of the cars in front of me, but as I just got this car I'm wondering if this should be a major concern or something silly as the car runs absolutely fine and makes no weird noises etc.

Help please
