Exhaust temperature sensor

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

I’m new to this forum. It’s great by the way.

Quick question....can a malfunction with the exhaust temp sensor effect a DPF filter Regen?

Thanks.

Welcome to the forum Dave, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :)

As a guess I would say yes. My key question s would be, what lights are coming up on the dash? Are you getting the glowplug light on or the  emissions light on? Needless to say a new sensor will be cheaper than a new dpf!

And have you had a diagnostic check carried out?

Cheers

Steve

Hi Steve and thanks for the welcome.

I’m getting the engine management light, emissions light and the DPF regen light plus the start stop function has disabled itself.

I’ve had it back to the garage I bought it from who hooked it up to the computer.

The computer showed a lambda sensor malfunction.

The car is going in for the repair on Monday.

Thanks for the help.

Hi

I had the sensor changed. The car has been fine for over a month now.
