Unoccupied car idle

Featured Replies

Hi,

Really daft question incoming.

I recently purchased a 2013 Audi A6 Avant and am delighted with it so far. I am still very much getting to grips with all its features but wanted to ask.

Can you leave the car idling and be able to step out of the vehicle?

So far everytime I try to step out of the vehicle it beeps and cuts out, which is good from a safety perspective but I live in Scotland and when winter is here I like to start the car in the morning to get it defrosted and warmed up.

Any advice would be greatfully recieved.

Cheers

Jim
