A6 3.0 tdi oil leak

Featured Replies

Hi

new to the forum

recently bought an a6 Le Mans.

I found an oil leak, took it to the garage. The mechanic can’t seem to pin point the leak. The oil drips from around the bottom of the chain case/bellhousing. He is very good but has said the older v6’s used to leak from the chain/housing. It doesn’t seem to use an obscene amount of oil but there is a lot of oil down there. I really love the car but have I bought a lemon?

any input would be massively appreciated :)
