  1. I might just get here a cheapie 🙈thanks for the input, funnily enough she has an i40 over there cheers guys
  2. Hi all! hope everyone’s having a great bank holiday. Has anyone fitted a reversing camera to their a6 on here and know what’s involved? My sisters coming over from abroad and finds it impossible to drive wothout one. All help is much appreciated. tom
  3. Have rest the mmi, Bluetooth and deleted the history 😞 no luck
  4. Have checked, it does have Bluetooth and also the cradle to boost the signal. I think the bt module is goosed, that’s another thing on the shopping list. This is the cradle in the arm rest.
  5. I thought it had been done, apparently it was an option from factory on 2008 on models. Piano black grille, black window surrounds, roof bars and body colour door handles as far as I can tell
  6. That’s what I thought steve, just didn’t know if there were different specs. The tow bar is a factory fit detachable Jobby. I’ll see if I can get a switch for less than a weeks wages 🙂
  7. Car has rear parking sensors factory fitted but no button to disable them? Ie for towing? Can one be bought and just fitted? Any info would be appreciated:)
  8. Tried a few, one being an old nokia that had snake on it. I think the module is goosed, I’ve ordered vcds and will check the car and module before spending £££ on a new module. Hope it’s just something not turned on in coding, will let you guys know.
  9. Have tried that mate, also been in another car same spec. Audi Bluetooth should come up as a device and it doesn’t on mine. Need to find someone with vcds and see if it could be the module I think.
  10. Cheers mate, I do like it. Needs a few jobs doing but they are a hell of a car for the money!
  11. I’d take it to someone decent and get it checked, you’re right that does sound like early torque converter. My bm did a torque converter but the m57 engine does break converters/boxes worse than any other. My mates bounces intermittently on lower end 1050-1500rpm and has done for 40k. If it were me I wouldn’t worry as these don’t sound like they do boxes or converters as a rule. Get the oil flushed, it won’t get all the oil out of the converter but it’ll prolong it for a very long time I would have throught. As for the stuck in gear, mine held in second longer than it does now pre getting the flush done and goes through the gears perfect now. Tom
  12. Evening all! Already been on a few posts here but haven’t really described my car/mods. my Car is a 2008 3.0tdi Le Mans auto in Daytona grey all the usual spec and has the de chrome pack? Like black edition I think light sights pack xenons rear led front electric seat rear heated seats phone cradle ami mods so far rear led number plate lights back box delete remap I need to get the wheels refurbished and aren’t sure which colour to go. Dark grey, black or standard silver? Also I’ve seen quite a few people do the centre console wrap and like the black carbon shiny one :) love the car to bits and it’s definitely worth that but extra over the run of the mill mondeo. Does anyone know of any other little mods to make them shine? Cheers Tom
  13. I paid £280 for genuine zf filter, zf compatible oil and haldex oils. Give the mechanic who I know well £50 for labour he asked and it’s done. These boxes are supposedly lifetime sealed units if you ask audi. Have had a few cars with them in 535d, 4.4 Range Rover, and now this. They do respond well to it and even zf have said they should be done at 100k.
  14. Like the others have said, a friend of mine had his 3.0 tdi remapped and it smoked a hell of a lot. Bad map, had it put back and went to a reputable tuner and it drives better and doesn’t smoke any more than my standard 3.0. Also it’s worth checking if yours has a dpf as mine doesn’t and neither does any of the other 3 I know of.
  15. Looks good there! also new to the forum, mines also a v6 tdi. Have Just had four new tyres fitted. Sizes were 255 35 19 and I had landsail ls588’s fitted, £280 for all four. I read up on them and they had mostly positive reviews, I can say they do stick like s*** to a blanket and aren’t noisey at all. I’m looking at the same kind of upgrades, remap 233-300hp, have already done a back box delete (r32 sound and less restriction), auto box, filter and diff flush. Really does drive 1000x better than my old 535d.
  16. Not sure if this is the same thing. had an e61 535d, there was a sensor cushion that wore through in the seat. As it was wearing out it would cause the seatbelt light to come on/off intermittently. Could this be similar to the 4f?
  17. Hi all! having issues with Car, Never managed to pair Bluetooth. Get the message “your telephone may not be connected or attached properly”. Had passenger seat out and checked the module for water, no water and can hear it clicking on and off. Tried updating to 5570 and have done disk 2 several times with the same thing every time won’t update the Bluetooth. Next thing to see is if someone can test it and check. Anyone else had this issue? tom
  18. Hi new to the forum recently bought an a6 Le Mans. I found an oil leak, took it to the garage. The mechanic can’t seem to pin point the leak. The oil drips from around the bottom of the chain case/bellhousing. He is very good but has said the older v6’s used to leak from the chain/housing. It doesn’t seem to use an obscene amount of oil but there is a lot of oil down there. I really love the car but have I bought a lemon? any input would be massively appreciated :)
