Unlocked car, inserted key in to barrel was stiff when turning from no.1 to no.2 position, now car key will not come out of position 2, meaning I can not turn car off without stalling it. I have tried turning the key many times but feels like the barrel has locked. I haven't seen a garage yet as it is a Saturday night, so I thought I'd make a post about it to see whether anyone has encountered this same issue?

Thankyou for replying Paul, I think mine is down to the steering lock possibly, I have a manual 6 speed gearbox.
