A3 1.4 tfsi

Hi all

Havent purchased yet but the A3 1.4 TFSI is on my shortlist. I've read some horror stories about oil use. Is there any truth in it? Is there anything else that I should be wary of buying pre owned?

Cheers

I'd heard that too, but I've now had mine for 15 months, done 8360 miles, and it hasn't needed a single top-up.

I appreciate that my experience may not be typical, but I offer it for what it's worth.

Hi , I have owned mine for 2 years from new and now covered 19k miles with no issues. It is one of the best engines avail today and used in a number of cars. My son has a Seat Leon FR using the same engine again with no issues.

Yeah same as above, i have done 11000 miles in the last year and not needed a single drop

I have only had mine a week, but the Audi dealer did give me a bottle of oil with the car and told me just to check monthly and top up as needed.
