So last month my boot stopped opening via the button on the boot lid, been having to open it with the lock and/or fob. When the button is pressed on the boot lid there's no noises to suggest actuator movement, I've had to entire boot locking assembly out and checked continuity through microswitch when pressed of which there is,telling me the switch it's self is fine but it still won't move the actuator. Is there anything else I could check? I know the actuator is fine as it opens when the fob button is pressed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you ruled out the key by testing the fob boot button on the spare key? 

I wonder if it's the key that's at fault rather than the car.
