Clanking brake pedal noise???

Featured Replies

Well this noise has been constant from new, but Glasgow Audi have fixed it after consultation with Audi technicians, who quickly became aware of the issue. New master brake cylinder fitted. Noise gone 👍

Hi - is that a noise when you remove your foot quickly from the brake pedal? I get the same thing!

That noise was noticeable from new. After consultation with Audi technicians, my dealer fitted the new master brake cylinder. Noise gone. It was the only issue with the Q5.

Great, thank you - I just assumed it was something that couldn't be fixed, but I'll report it and see what they say. I wonder if it's related to my squeaky brakes issue... Do you have any detail on what the technician said / reported so I could get a head start when I call them?

As per Audi technical instructions was all they said.

I had the same issue but seemed to be a known problem and the dealer in Halesowen replaced the master cylinder under warranty. No noise since.
