how much will it cost to repair cylinder misfire causing by low compression on one of the cylinders?

Featured Replies

I am a new member in this forum. I really appreciated any helps that can given to my Audi A4 car.

Recently, I found out my Audi A4 2008 car start to shake when the car is parked or stopped at the traffic lights. The shake became really bad even when I am driving it, so I took it for a professional diagnostic service. From the test report, it said the cause of shaking is because of misfire on one of the 4 cylinders, the cause of misfire is because of low compression, and I was told it would cost over thousands to repair it.

I am reluctant to  pay over thousands for the repair as it is a 10 years old Audi (although still drive beautifully). The other option I am thinking of is to trade in for another Audi. I want to know has anyone had the similar problem with the misfire? and realistically how much will it cost for repair? Is there a good, reliable and honest Audi specialists in Gtr Manchester area?

Thank you so much if someone can advise me on this?
