19 inch Q5 wheels

Hello, this is my first post!

I have a 2017 second generation Q5 with 19 inch, 8J wheels with an offset of 39 and with 23/55/19 tyres. Is there any reason why I could not fit 19" wheels from a first-generation Q5? The websites I have looked at all say they are not compatible. Obviously they have a different pattern but the dimensions are identical with the same offset and same nut pattern so I do not understand why.

Advice would be much appreciated.

Are the brake calipers the same size?
