Just a quick introduction guys.

Just purchases a 2005 a3 tdi 140 auto

Full s3 replica. She needs a bit of TLC and I have a few questions to ask if you could all point me in the right direction.

When I start her up it sounds like a bracket is loose, this only happens when the starter motor in kicks in. Would I be right to say the starter is on its way out?

She's done 130k

Welcome to the forum Joe, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 grray looking a3 you have there.

If the issue is on start up then I'm wondering if it's an exhaust bracket or engine mount.

Cheers

Steve
