Just bought my first Audi (Q7)

Featured Replies

Hello All,

Was thinking of an X5 / XC90 - loved the Q7 so bought it. 12 plate S line plus. drove it back home just now. Love it.

I noticed some interior trim is a bit tatty. Particularly the metallic door card / insert on drivers side (guessing they come as a pair).

Any tips on where to get these and how to make sure you're getting the right ones to match. Am assuming there isn't a million options and if I buy 'brushed aluminium' or whatever it is - it should be ok.

Everything else looks great but I think it could do with a service - any good Audi independents people recommend im the Camberley Surrey/Berkshire area?

Also - is there any advice for a Q7 newbie on things to watch out for?

Thanks

Hi I downloaded “Audi parts” app that shows all the parts ands links to sites, cost me £10 to download the full vrs but it works

Very nice car! I wished that mine hadn't had battery minister issues, suspension compressor myther, and MMI issues!

Look at it this way, you know the problems and now you can fix them knowing they are not going to cause an issue some time soon.

get them fixed an you have a cracking car.

True enough! Brought mine with a card, and after so much hassle trying to talk to the garage I brought it off, I got/gaining a section 75 to get my money back! Shame too as it is a good spec car but busted!

Any luck with finding where the replacement metal door insert could be bought from? I'm looking for the same thing!
I'm assuming those must be soft as the one I have (2013 model) has a lot of small marks

thanks!
