Apologies if I am repeating a common question. If that is the case, please do put me in the right direction!

The remote keyfob on my new (used) Audi A3 (55 plate) will open the boot and lock the doors but will not unlock. Instead, I have to unlock the door directly with the key and quickly turn on the ignition to prevent the alarm from sounding (usually within 5-10 seconds). 

Is this a common problem? Could someone recommend a course of action and rough pricing to expect?

I had the same problem, although the tailgate wouldn't open at all. turned out it was the fuse controlling the body control module. worth a look ?

I had the same problem, all I did was opened up the fob removed the battery and reconnected and it worked!!

All sorted. The garage replaced the battery in the keyfob for £10 and walla... 🙂

Glad to hear it. The simplest solutions are easily over looked.

Hi can anybody help me!! Today i was cleaning my car out and i put my drivers side window down when i come to drive it my window wouldn’t go back up and on the dash it was saying my door was open but the door wasn’t and when i come to lock it with the keyfob it locks ever door apart from the drivers door as anybody ad this  issue thanks

I'd guess you've got water inside the door and shorted out some switches.

A mate sed it could be the door control module that’s gone do you fink it could be that. Thanks

Sounds like the door module to me! Could also be the door latch if it thinks the door is open.

All fix now lads thanks it was a few wires that snapped on the door loom
