Audi A6 C7 Avant v6 3l tdi manual

Featured Replies

Morning all

Have the above car and more and more I can’t get the thing into first or second gear when stopped at lights for example.  It goes into third ok but pulling off in third is tricky.  not every time but getting worse

I bought the car from Audi a year ago and had similar issues on the test drive and they got a mechanic to do something with the gearbox linkage.  This sounds like a similar issue?

Anyone know if this is common with the manual?  60,000 miles and it’s a manual

You think they will fix it free as was an issue when bought the car initially, have an email from them saying its logged.

cheers in advance for any ideas :-)

Hello Huw,

It could well be to do with linkage adjustment, but (just in my opinion) it is rare that the system would need to be adjusted - particularly twice.

Getting it done for free a year after ? Um? I think this will boil down to the degree of goodwill which is extended. Bought from one of Mr Sinclair’s dealerships?

Kind regards,

Gareth.
