Where is the turbo situated?

Howdy Audi owners 🙂

I have rather a silly question for anyone who has the knowledge, I have searched everywhere on our friend google, to no avail!

Does anyone have any pictures as to where i can find the turbo on an A6 Break 2010, and for a plus, maybe some doo's and ddont's of how to remove it?

The reason for this is...I have a whistling/wirling sound as I acccelerate: around 2/250 revs. As far as my resurch goes, people have sugested that I iether need a new turbo kit, or the pipes that join onto the turbo may be loose or have a slight fracture in them.

I would be most greatfull for any help anyone can give me 🙂

Look here, if that's the correct diagram. (I took a guess) What Model is a "2010 A6 Break" ??

Whistle could be loose turbo to exhaust.

Thank you for the diagram, Sorry for the bad info "Break" is an Estate in belgium!

It's A6 Estate 170 hp, build year 2010.

The Problem is that I cannot find where the Turbo is situated on the car, and I do not want to dismantle the whole car just to find it of cause 🙂

I got a weird one. I'm fairly car literate and I'm usually able diagnose and know the problem to pull in to my local independent shop and tell them this and this need to be fixed and replaced. But this has me stumped. I have a 2016 Q5 2.0 engine that went bad with carbon deposits yada yada... So I stepped up got a new motor from Power Engines it came all crated up they were super helpful pleased with them. My mechanic moved all the bits and reattached them to the new engine from the old. hi guys,this is probably a long shot but im looking for an engine for my 1998 a4 2.8 [engine code ACK],i bought the car through the forum a few months ago and got it shipped here to ireland,it has low compression on bank 2 cylinders so a replacement engine is my plan,if anyone knows of one for sale or point me in the right direction id really appreciate it,thanks Greg

Good day all, I have a 2.0 TFSI with the ZF 8 speed auto ‘box which I intend to get serviced within the next couple of months. Is this just an oil and sump/filter change or is there mechatronic seal (for the wiring) on these? I’m going to get the oil changed in both diffs and the transfer ‘box, is there anything else within the drive train that needs looking at while it’s on the ramp? Mileage is 65,000 miles.

Although not required as yet, I'm thinking /looking ahead and wondering about servicing costs. Like all Audi dealers/dealerships it's best I guess to have your car serviced by Audi but I'm sure the price/s will not be as cheap as independents? (Yes they would have to use genuine parts). Does this forum show recommended companies i.e good garages that will be cheaper but carry out as good work as Audi. I look forward to guidance. Thank you.

Due to turning the car into a track car, the seats and door cards are no longer needed. They are green and grey with wooden look trim. They need cleaning up and the rear seat is damaged at the top plastic part but it still locks in place. £200 ono with the wooden look trim. Collection only though from north west, near Preston. I also have other trim pieces from the c5 saloon that are now out of the car.

Ok, after completing the gearbox swap and driving the car for a few months, things have started to fail. The speedo doesn't work, even after putting in a speedo pickup in the gearbox, sensor and repairing the wiring. The electric windows all stopped working. The central locking won't work. The airbag and abs light work as they please. My next step is to strip it and turn it into a track car. I know they are not known for being great on a track, but I will try anyway. Hi, I’ve recently got a second hand A1 2012 S-Line 3dr. I took it to Halfords and they have advised I have a blocked Air con. I’ve just replaced the the air filter and cabin filter as they were past due. Does anyone know if I can unblock the A/C myself and if so how to do it and what I’m looking for. Many thanks in advance

Recently had a few of these Audi Gamma & Delta on the bench for a Bluetooth retrofit. Personally, I think this is one of the best upgrades for a classic car You keep the factory radio, 100% factory look, but gain modern Bluetooth functionality. Curious what others think. Do you prefer keeping everything completely original or making hidden upgrades that improve usability?

Hey guys im from new zealand, i got a a3 8p with a vr6, it has 45xxxkms. it has front right damgage and the door was hit in the crash, Im trying to replace the front right upper door hinge but its impossible to access the inside bolt to remove it from the body. Ive searched everywhere on google and youtube and audi forrums and have seen no one try this repair or any advice. Has anyone on here attempted something like this or seen someone do it??

Hi, my Audi MMI MBI (i think glovebox unit) speaker sound seems to be failing, everything seems to work, there is just no sound. sometimes it works but this has become increasingly rare. It only seems to work once every 4 weeks ish now. I resorted to a Bluetooth speaker but its a bit rubbish to be honest. I believe it probably just a few PCB components that have failed. I'm looking for any recommendations for a repair service. Thanks all

Hello I am a new Audi owner and have a A6 40tfsi C8 Facelift Sport Saloon. The car has been everything I hoped it would be -quiet and smooth on the road with enough power to keep me happy in retired life. When I first received the car it had a quarter tank so when it reached only 30 miles of fuel left I filled it up to the brim but could only fill 53 Litres. Hi all, I’ve just got my hands on a 1992 2.6 v6 Audi 80 in good condition (considering price) and have done what most buyers do first and changed the oil. It was very murky and smelled strongly of petrol so I decided to flush. 4 times I flushed and drained each time after letting it run for around 10 minutes. Hi all On a bit of a road trip, have planned the route around type 2 charge points. I can use my own charge cable ok, but even though the last energy supplier took a holding deposit, the charge failed to initialise and the deposit returned. It has happened several times now and makes me think I have a setting wrong in the car. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. I had this message 4 months ago as well but simple turn off the engine and restart again solved the issues but the same issues has come back last week but this time with engine management light as well. It started the countdown to 650 miles and when it got to 550 miles some how it disappeared but came back after I did almost 300 miles. So countdown is down to 600 miles again at the moment.
