Brand new Q5 Screeching brakes

Featured Replies

Hi,

Has anyone had a problem with their Q5 brakes screeching.  I have a 2019 Q5 and the cars brakes sound awful. This happens intermittently but, when they start screeching they don't stop.

Any advice?

It sounds like the pads are suck in the brake caliper or carrier.

I would pop along to a reputable garage who can simply remove the pads, clean them up and reinstall them with some copperslip which will resolve the issue

Hello Natalie,

Since the car is under warranty, I would simply book this in to the (supplying?) Audi dealer to get this corrected.

The car is under warranty, so personally, I would not be allowing anyone to work on it, otherwise Audi might - quite rightly - maintain that whatever work has been carried out has indeed resulted in the problem!

Kind regards,

Gareth.
