sunlak84
Hi all - I am a long time reader, first time poster. At the weekend I finally upgraded my 2005 Audi A4 to a 2015 Bi-TDI A7 Black Edition. Needless to say I'm delighted with the upgrade!! Some early thoughts are that I'd love to add an Apple Carplay retrofit to the car. There's quite a mind-boggling array of options out there, so if anyone can vouch for a particular product or installer that'd be really useful. I'm based in South London and would like the system to function wirelessly and, if possible, be able to listen to the MMI DAB radio whilst using CarPlay. Also does anyone know if it's possible to set the daytime running lights to come on when unlocking the car?? I've got the switch set to 'auto' and the 'lights on' setting ticked in the settings but the lights only come on when I unlock the car at night. Thanks all, looking forward to many miles of driving in this seriously impressive machine!
sunlak84
Just to add, I believe my MMI is MIB1, as the version number begins with 'MHI2' - not sure if that's correct or not.
Steve Q
Welcome to the forum Sun, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 With any retro fitting my advice would be to get a professional company. Not sure about the DRL but again an auto electrician or retrofitter can advise.
Glacier bitdi
Hi it may be worth looking at purchasing the obd eleven vag as I know you can alter the lighting with that app.whether you can adjust the drl with the 2015 I’m not sure.ive owned my a7 bitdi for almost a month now and i love it.what a beauty of a car.ive been looking at car play and from what I’ve seen they’re all very similar in the way they work and install and cost.About £450 will get you the kit
