Retrofitting tow bar and sat nav

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm a long time (20 years)  Vauxhall Omega owner who is looking to buy a A6 Avant with the 3ltr tdi engine.

I've found a 05 plate Avant 3ltr Tdi Quattro  on eBay with low miles on it but no towbar or sat nav.

How easy is this retrofit the towbar and sat nav.

Also is they a plug in DAB unit for the radio ?

Hello Steve,

Well the Omega is going to take some beating. I bet you will miss it.

Re. towbar - I wouldn’t anticipate any significant problems with getting a tow bar fitted.

Sat. nav? Once a must-have accessory, but now reasonably redundant with the advent of the smart phone. Personally I would be too bothered about the built- in lack of it.

DAB radio? Sorry can’t help with this, but no doubt someone will come along who can.

Kind regards,

Gareth.

Cheers Garath, the omega (manual conversion 3.2 Mv6 estate with LPG) has just gone through the MOT for the grand total of 30 quid plus test fee.

Love the old bugger but sadly its getting harder and harder to maintain and as we all know, rust will get it in the end hence my looking at the A6 Avant.

Hopefully I can find something decent around the 06 mark (cheap road tax) and as my expertise grows, I can help out members on here
