Hi Audi fans! Is anyone interested in acquiring the above Audi GT 1.9 Coupe 1981 B2? My friend is a Senior Citizen and has asked me to make enquiries as to how to sell it. I am also retired and my own passion is with classic cars, but I have had had little to do with this marque. The car has not been used for years and can be considered a restoration project, although far from a basket-case, I believe. If anyone is interested please let me know and we can discuss how to move forward considering condition and the finer details, like miles, value, etc, etc. I act as a 'helper' to my friend, and at no expense to anyone, just a pleasure to hopefully keep a classic from the graveyard. Many thanks!

Hello Michael from the Homeland,

Sounds interesting, and let’s hope it might be of interest to someone on the forum.

If it were me, I would be advertising this (usually for free) in classic car publications such as Classic Car Weekly, Classic Car Buyer, Classic Car Mart, Classic Cars for Sale, and even Modern Classics - there are more - but there again, as a classic car enthusiast, all of this will be known to you, and apologies if so.

I think you will then be targeting the car at the appropriate market. Personally, I would be deciding on an asking price to deter any daft offers, and let the market decide the interest.

You might also consider eBay which always lists a good selection of available classic cars.

Good luck and kind regards,

Gareth.

Hi Kev. This site is difficult to use with emails. I’ve seen easier!

Hi Kev,

Pls see pics below. My friend started the car with just jump leads and petrol. Amazing really after years stored in garage! Needs cosmetics but if I was younger I’d do it myself. A straight honest car but no sales blurb. It is an interesting rolling project that could be used whilst being done possibly. I believe the car can be bought for or about £595 but reasonable offer will be considered.  Cheers!

Hi, a bit late to the party with this post but if your friend is still looking for a home for his GT Coupe,  Any additional info would be appreciated (eg. mileage, any damage etc). Best wishes.
