Hello everyone.

Owned a BMW 2010 E90 2.0i 170bhp for 5 years until stolen from the drive last week so looking at my options. 

My budget is around £5-6K and must be petrol as i do mostly short town driving. Can stretch to £7k if a awsome car.

Searches come with 1.8 and 2.0 and both these engines have various option of power option so i am lost 🤨.Also googles always mention the petrol engine drink oil around 1L per 1000 mile..is that normal or engine damaged.

Would appreciate some guidance to what engine is most reliable and any well know faults please.

 

Next question is servicing. I m able to carry out DIY maintenance but. Is there a website with partlist. BMW has usefull part list https://www.realoem.com/ that is a life saver.
