A1 rear wiper nozzle/jet part number

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm a new 1st time owner of a 2011 A1 1.4 petrol.

Recently my rear wiper jet stopped working so I gave my reg to an audi dealer and he sent me part number 8X4955985.

This would not fit.

I checked the part number on my broken one and it's 8X3955985. I can't find this part anywhere so I have two questions if anyone can help me out.

Why would the part that's meant to fit not fit? The only reason I can think of is the whole unit has been changed at some point and it's not an A1 wiper anymore.

Secondly, has the part I need been renamed or something? I've searched all over and I'm just coming up empty. If it has can someone point me in the right direction please?

Sorry if these are daft questions it's just driving me mad now 😣

The 8X4 part is on the left, my old 8X3 one that fits is on the right.

Hello Adele,

Thanks for being in touch with the forum.

My first port of call would be to revisit the dealer, armed with the respective parts and ask them to advise.
Hope this doesn’t come over as dismissing your question, but I think an on-the-ground recheck and comparison would be the best way forward in this case.

Perhaps you could let us know how you get on.

Kind regards,

Gareth.
