Electric steering

Featured Replies

Hi all, I’ve just bought my dream car that I’ve been waiting on for ages. I bout it from copart with front end damage. Most of the air bags have deployed but my main issue is the steering, it seems to have locked and won’t turn at all, I thought it was because of the suspension damage but I’ve replaced all that. I heard somewhere that in a crash the steering locks. Any advice on the issue would be really helpful.

thanks Douglas

I've found this YouTube video which might help as well as this link:

From.tbe.loojs of things you'll need to plug it into a diagnostic machine to check.

Thanks for the quick reply Stevie q. I should have clarified my issue a bit more,  My Audi is a c7 with keyless start and even when the car is running the steering is solid and won’t budge. I thought is might have the pyro fuse in the back bit I’ve sorted that just now and it didn’t make a difference. I also plugged it into my scanner but didn’t bring any fault code for the steering.
