MMI - Sat Nav system

Featured Replies

Is anyone else having issues with their Sat Nav system failing to initiate on the MMI unit? I have had an ongoing issue now for a number of months and apparently Germany have yet to produce a software patch to cure the problem. My vehicle is A6 Avant Estate.

I stopped using the Audi maps after a couple of months of getting the car.

Google maps (or Waze) via CarPlay (or AA) is streets ahead. Virtually anywhere is found just using voice search. I often just ask for directions to [insert any shop name here], et voila.

It also looks through you phone contacts, so ‘Directions to John Smith’ is found aswell.

Waze has all the speed camera locations aswell as live mobile camera vans (subject to latest peer reports).

Seriously ditch the Audi maps, they’re rubbish in comparison.
