Misfires on bank 1 only

Featured Replies

Hi my name is Mark I’m in Los Angles and have lived here since 1975 I’m from Northfield in Birmingham  . I have a 2009 A4 Quattro with a 3.2 and my car has a miss on cyl 1 -2-3  that are random  .  I have replaced all six coils and plugs  and both oxygen sensors on bank 1  I cleared the codes a took it for a drive and put about a hundred miles on and came up with the same codes .The car does not lack any power but I do feel the misfire at idle i am wondering if any of you has had the same problem and if they new what could be the cause  it only on bank 1 so could it be a cam sensor for that bank. I just don’t know I would appreciate any feed back  about this annoying problem  thank you Mark

Hi have you had the car scanned and the live data analysed, could be a cam chain problem.

Steve.
