Can anybody point me in the right direction to buy a starter motor for a 2011 1.4 TFSI  auto WITH A 76MM BOSS everything that we have tried to get has a 79mm boss so does not fit.

Hi sorry this boss bit has me confused as most starter motors are designated by the amount of teeth and the size of the dog gear on the motor, unless you are talking about the diameter of the hole the starter body sits in, its better if you can put the VIN in on somewhere like LLL Carparts and get the o.e. number.

Yes the hole size is 76mm and we have had six new starter motors this week and the boss which is the round raised circle  is 79mm this is on every one we have had.

Steve.
