Audi RNS-E Compatibility for Bluetooth

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I have an Audi A4 (2004) that has a factory-fitted RNS-E head unit with Bluetooth capability for making and receiving phone calls. I am looking to achieve two things:

I would like to be able to stream audio from my iPhone through the existing Bose speakers, while still being able to maintain voice calls. I have come across various adapters on forums, but I would like to confirm whether this adapter ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bluetooth-Wireless-Microphone-Adapter-Replacement-Shown-as-Picture/dp/B09K33G885/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=audi+rns-e+bluetooth&qid=1683006480&sprefix=rns-e+%2Caps%2C2230&sr=8-6) is the simplest and most effective method to play audio and maintain voice calls through the existing setup.

I would also like to populate the telephone directory on the head unit from my iPhone.

I would greatly appreciate any tips or recommendations on the above.

Thank you.
