Romany Posted May 11, 2023 Share Posted May 11, 2023 Hi everyone. My dad had rs4 and he’s been having trouble with his starter motor. He’s put a new starter motor in in the car but it’s having the same issue. The issue is that it doesn’t turn over properly and makes a clicking noise. Any help please. Magnet Posted May 11, 2023 Share Posted May 11, 2023 Hello Romany, It sounds like the issue is associated with an inadequate electrical contact at some point - we will take it the battery has been tested and found to be good, and the replacement starter is a reputable brand. Could possibly be a relay issue, but these possibilities would need to be eliminated via. testing. If you have the facilities and experience then that’s fine. If not, then it sounds like the best way forward is to invest in an hour’s time with a trusted auto electrician. Kind regards, Gareth.
