Hello

I havn't registered for a forum in years but I thought it would be a good place to ask for assistance.
I have an issue with my bank 1 intake manifold drive unit (manifold actuator PN 079133159F)

Unfortunately this part is no longer available..anywhere I have tried general web searching, eBay, Audi, TPS and facebook. Including "breaking" Audi S5's

I was wondering whether anyone, anywhere had something like this knocking about or a 4.2 CAUA with the inlet manifold that uses vacuum operated solenoids and actuators that I can purchase or know where maybe I can find some, new or used.

The vehicle is an S5 8T 4.2 V8 with the CAUA in it

Thank you Teddynewson.

Would you have a web site link that I could visit ? - I did a quick google and wolf auto parts.com came up and I popped in a variation of part numbers but nothing came up.

Re the A8, S7, and S6. I look this up on parts link 24 and elsawin. Are these vehicles running a V6T or V6 Bi-Turbo or a V8/VT Bi-Turbo

Looking on eBay, I did find for a 3.0 TFSI (V6T or V6TT, whichever variation it is ....)

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/295753048172?var=0&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338268676&toolid=10044&customid=Cj0KCQjw756lBhDMARIsAEI0AgnHMhHKUOZpDjM5uCHmd6SBPcb2t2grB-8VuUmz4jV-PE7UndiZu5caAjjUEALw_wcB

The supporting fittings look the but the plastic rod that connects to the flaps on the intake manifold doesn't appear to be present

Thanks bud - ahhh the Rev J. I have a few of those in my watch list on eBay
Thing is, the rev C and F has the 2 holes, where it connects onto the manifold then the actuator rod then connects onto the connection, that connects the flaps.

You are right, these parts are very very similar - The rev J not having the mounting holes, i'm not sure how i would securely fasten it without it coming off.

So I would need to rev C or F with the mounting holes in

Hope that makes sence

So a bit of an update here and something I forgot to mention : -

My vehicle has had a replacement engine, from TPS in 2018 with a load of ancillaries. The receipt for the engine swap stated it was a "later engine". I had rung up the company that both sourced and fitted the engine for confirmation

After taking a look on elsawin, I was able to determine that on the S5 8T, in 2009 Audi had changed the intake manifold from a magnesium to a plastic style intake/plenum. So what I ended up doing is picking a reg from a later S5 that had a picture of the later engine manifold. I then popped that into partslink 24 and take a look at the exploded view.

The part numbers I was getting was 079133340C & 079133110AS. I put a selection of these into eBay and I found the intake manifolds for sale that included the vaccum operated drive unit.

I got that excited I purchased 2 intake manifold units just in case, both of them contain the actuator rod that I need and both hold vaccum.

I have simply removed both the actuators and kept the intake manifolds themselves (with fuel rail) as spare.

Hopefully this post will help someone track down what part numbers to look at.

If you look at no 3. on the diagram with the plastic manifold, you will see how I came to this conclusion.
