Help re wind noise

Hi all, Im the recently new owner of an RS6 Performance Plus C7. It had tinted films on the inside of the windows when I bought it. I removed them as they were questionably legal. However, I now notice a lot of wind noise (whistling) at higher speeds. Could it be that the removal of the film has caused a gap between windows and rubber seals? I put some rubber lubricant on the seals. Seemed to help but then after putting windows up and down, the problem came back. The film was very thin so I am struggling to see if this is really the issue.

Any thoughts?
