Oil level - first gripe with the S4 ...

Featured Replies

Does anyone here know of a dipstick for the CREC engine ? there are some available for the 3.0tfsi but they aren't for the 3.0 CREC and Audi do not even list one for the CREC engine, I don't think that there are many supercharged CREC's.

The requirement to run the engine until hot then wait 2 mins is such nonsense - I learned not to even start the engine unless I checked the oil - the stupid sensor doesn't seem to have a provision to indicate overfilled either - the JagI'm getting rid of is afflicted in the same way so you can't tell if the level is actually rising due to fuel contamination or worse water.

Is there a way to check the car cold - I tried with the bonnet open but it still says 'engine must be warm and wait 2 mins' - BS I need to wait it has been sat on the driveway all night.

Guess I'm too old school but I do not care for this design much.
