I've recently got myself a 2016 Audi A3 Sportsback. Car feels ok apart from if i give it high revs in sports mode the glow plug warning light starts flashing. It doesn't happen in economy mode. When i pull over and turn the car off and then restart it i get a warning about the start-stop function not working. Once home and the car has been left for a while the car in fine.

Has anyone got any ideas how serious this is?

Doesn't sound too serious, probably a connector issue, hence the fine when cool state.

Have you had a check to ensure there's nothing looose/unseated with the glows?

I've had a quick look but can't see anything loose or unseated. After some reading up could it be something to do with the diesel particle filter or the throttle body needs cleaning?
