Groaning/rubbing noise when turning steering wheel

Hi all

Just recently I've noticed when I turn my steering wheel either way, even whilst stationary, there's a concerning rubbing/groaning noise which appears to ( I THINK!) come from the front passenger side wheel area.

The power steering fluid seems fine, it's at max.

Anyone know what this is likely to be?

Is the car safe to drive until I can see a mechanic on Monday?

Thank you

Hello Frankie,

Or you could just try squirting some WD40 or similar down the under-bonnet suspension top mounts - where the suspension legs rotate, and see if that influences the noise.
If not, I would strongly advise you get the car examined at a trusted local garage.
Kind regards,

Gareth.
