A6 C6 2004 Weird problems, help

Recommended Posts

hi i have these weird problems when I try to turn on the ignition, only the mmi turns on and the steering wheel unlocks, the car won't start and nothing lights up on the dashboard ( but after few or more key turns dashboard lights turns on and car works as it was )
other problem happens that when I drive it throws a parking brake malfunction and sometimes it shuts off because of that
other problem happens that when I start the car, it shuts off immediately or it shuts off while standing still. Do you have any advice for me?

Hi Vilius I lifted this from google Jasonj

1: Have you reset the Service  Interval Reminder , recently ? Jasonj

How do I fix 00003 fault code?

00003 - Control Module: Defective

To clear this Fault Code, please perform/repeat the following Steps 3 (THREE) times: Switch the Ignition OFF for 5 Seconds, then Switch it ON again. Clear Fault Codes in Brake Electronics Control Module, then exit out of the Control Module.

Switch the Ignition OFF for 5 Seconds, then Switch it ON againthis is the only thing to make a reset?

Hi Vilius , You have to then Clear the Fault Code on OBD reader .  The Parking Brake Malfunction Code has to be Cleared,   could be ? ( 00526 or 17087  )

this code has to be cleared .

So

1: Do the switch Ignition OFF for 5 seconds then switch ON again . with OBD Reader plugged in . And Then Clear all the codes . Unplug OBD . Start car and then see if any codes are showing . By doing another Reading with OBD. Jasonj

after clearing all codes ( there was only one 0003 ), it shows nothing now. Im starting to think about ECU, ECM. Because there was water in this sector when water channels was clogged. I will try to remove it and inspect it, and update it here.

Hi Vilius , Have all the codes disappeared ?  If so it tells me ECU is ok as it recognises the removal of the code .

The way it works is the  Instrument Control Module  Locks the Codes into its Memory . If this has now been cleared .

Current Status

1: Have all the codes gone Now  ?

2: Does the Car Start without any problems ?

2A: Is there any warning lights on the Instrument Cluster ? Jasonj

1. Yes

2. Yes

3. No

after some time its gonna happen again. Now the fault codes are cleared its going to be ok i think.
