Hello, any help and advice is greatly appreciated please. My partners A3 heating completely stopped working a few weeks back. Fuses checked but display in car for heating still lights up. I have removed the glove box and removed the heater motor. The motor felt damaged, rusty and didn't spin easily whats so ever. We found a replacement at a local car parts dealership but upon receiving it. Annoyingly the original plug coming from car is a gold coloured chunky plug with four separate wires connected. The slot for the new part only has one for a much thinner plug very similar to the one disconnected from the glove box.

Is there any adapter available to make this possible to utilise this new part? Hope the above makes sense and thank you for any advice in advance 😊 please see attached images of said adapters.

Hello Si,

Welcome and thanks for joining.
Adaptor? I seriously doubt it.

It would be well worth noting the part number on your original motor, and seeking a direct replacement.
Have you tried EBay, and registering your ‘want’ on the on-line breaker link systems, such as Partsfinder? - there are others.

Kind regards,

Gareth.
