Problems with DL 501 gearbox

Featured Replies

Despite the pleasure of driving a dual-clutch transmission, I have found few problems reported in this forum regarding AUDI transmissions.

There's no mention of the DSG200. Very Problematic. But even the DL501, bathed in oil, insists on causing problems around 50,000 to 70,000km. Usually in mechatronics.

It starts to fail, sometimes it only engages the even gears, sometimes the odd gears, until it stops working. In the authorized network, repairs cost between US$ 6,000 and US$ 8,000.00, while in unauthorized workshops repairs can be made for around US$ 2,000.00 in Brazil.

This damaged the car's image here, where Mercedes and BMW don't have chronic defects like this.

Is AUDI not thinking about abandoning this gearbox?

My 2016 Audi Allroad with 78,000km had the problem. 30 days downtime and US$ 2,200.00 to repair the mechatronics.
