A6 C7 Vibration while accelerating

Hey Audi folks,

I've run into a couple of issues with my car lately, and I'm hoping someone here might have some insight.

A few months back, I got an error code (7980 - P0726) - RPM Signal from ECU Implausible Signal - from my gearbox during a routine scan.
Surprisingly, the gearbox seems fine—no weird shifting or RPM drops, except for a slight delay when switching between Reverse and Drive. Might be two seconds until it selects D1 from R, not sure if that is acceptable time or not.

Now, I'm feeling some vibrations when I accelerate, and it's pretty noticeable. I've checked the wheels, tires, engine mounts, and gearbox mounts, but everything seems okay. Could these vibrations be related to the gearbox issue? Is my gearbox on the verge of failing, or could it just be a sensor problem?

Thanks for any help or advice you can offer!

Hi could be the dual mass flywheel and clutch assembly, bear in mind you have a wet clutch and a dry clutch.

Steve.
