Audi a3 8v 1.6 TDI dashboard rattle

Featured Replies

Hello

I recently bought 1.6 TDi 2014 audi a3. I noticed a rattle at around 3200-3500 rpm. The sound is coming from behind the airvents (central). It drives me completely mad. We checked mounts, engine, transmission and everything is fine. I have a video

Can someone help me how to resolve this?

Thank you in advance

I would agree with above. To me this sounds more like a “vibration” than a rattle.
I can see in the video people looking into the open engine bay, did you inspect underneath the car for loose under trays/shields etc? Just an idea for for further checks😉

We checked the engine and everything underneath, everything is good. Mounts mounts are good. I suspect a loose heater aluminium pipes. It is a vibration yes, not a rattle.
