Gearbox intermittent jerk

Featured Replies

I have an early 2017 A6Allroad.  Recently I am feeling an intermittent jerk in the transmission as I bring the car to a halt, as the drive disengages.  There is no specific noise accompanying the jerk and no error messages have appeared.  Apart from this the gearbox functions as expected.  The car has done 65,000 miles and had its gearbox oil changed at 38,000 as per service schedule.  The fault has become gradually more frequent and now happens at least once a journey.  I did occur to me it might be something to do with the stop start system rather than the gearbox, is this likely?  Any insights appreciated.

Hi it may well be the tail shaft mount at the back of the gearbox they are a bit prone to going soft, I replaced mine a couple of times the auto and manual use the same mount.
