A3 8P Heated Seats Not Working

Featured Replies

Hello, new to the forums after just picking up my first car and therefore first Audi!

When I was test driving my Facelift sportbacks 8P the dealer was asking if I could feel the heated seats, I was wearing multiple layers so didn't think anything of it. The fact he was asking reassures me he thought it was working, however I've had it for a few days and can confirm it is not.

I'm unaware on how to test it, but when the dial is set to 6 which is max no light is present on the display, should this be the case? Due to this do you think it is a fuse that is gone, I'm at work but will try locate them when I'm home.

Cheers

So I've checked the fuse which is #37 and it's still in-tact, I'm stumped is there anything else I can check at all myself. Just to repeat none of them work and there isn't an illuminated symbol on my infotainment dash.

Hi its either the switch is faulty or or the wiring under the seat, remove the plugs one at a time and clean them with contact cleaner its highly unlikely that all the heater pads under the base cushions have failed therefore I would try the switch first, get a multimeter with a back probe and make sure you have power to the switch and then activate the switch to see if any power is going through it.

Steve.
