greggles
I am about to put my 03 plate A4 in for a service. It has covered just over 150,000 miles. It also needs a clutch change. I have read about the injector looms being problematic on this engine. Would it be worth having this changed and the glow plugs to future proof the engine?. I haven't used the car in a winter yet and just want to avoid trips to the garage if it's having all this work done soon.

Hi the only thing I would personally change is the glow plugs, as for the loom just get it checked in other words if it isn't broken don't fix it, the glow plugs are probably well past their sell by date and well worth changing as they contribute a lot to engine function especially on start up on colder days as it stops unburnt fuel from killing the catalyst.
