Tuning options for 1.8t

Featured Replies

Looking for some advice,

Have just bought a 1.8t Quattro and I'm looking for a little more grunt.

My last quick car was a 280bhp Astra Coupe Turbo, and I certainly miss the "thrown in the back of the seat" feeling!

Thinking about a remap, and long term maybe a bigger turbo. Do these engines respond well to aftermarket air filters?

Any other help is much appreciated :-)

Chris

I think all cars respond quite well to aftermarket air filters. It helps the engine breath and frees up a few horses. I think that would be my first action if I were to tune up a car.

Glen.

I'd go with the remap, relatively risk free.

Because I'm Batman!
