Thanks. What is current status of your car?

Apologies for the delay in replying, i have no excuse, life admin on high, etc 🙂. So as I drove the car more and if, lets say the temp was above 12 degrees, no issue really. Yes the vapour is present on cold days, I do think it is vapour now and once car is warm there is nothing even when booting. I paid £96 for a thorough health check and the following was found. Battery weak, front bushes slightly worn and the most peculiar thing no codes after a deep scan which mechanic said was unsual. No issues with car at the moment, its running pretty well. I am just going to let it run. Is there anything when ur car is warm, i think its a VW/Audi peculiarity re: vapour. However, I have seen Hyundais do it also.

If you’re anything like me, when parked at traffic lights, in cooler temps you’ll  find your self looking at other cars exhaust for signs of vapour 🤣

So had mine looked at passed one lot of tests but failed a chemical test, suspected Egr cooler and or inlet manifold cooler, worst case cracked head or head gasket. Issue is it’ll cost an arm and leg to find out as it’s a case of take it all apart and see what’s there after unbolting bits, was willing to throw some money at it if it solved the issue once and for all but there’s no guarantees so will keep it for a short while as it’s behaving right now (touch wood) and then look at a new motor as it’s at 97k and had it 7 years. Would have been happy to keep it going as I still get compliments on the paintwork regularly and imo still one of the prettiest cars on the road.
