Sat Nav update - Eject button disabled? - Need VCDS

Featured Replies

Hi all, hope someone can help a fellow audi owner in need.

Started updating sat nav on my A6 C6 Avant 2.0Tdi (2010 plate), only to find after updating the firmware via sd, on attempting to insert the maps cd into the sat nav unit (that has 2 sd card slots on the bottom in glove box), the cd wouldn't load into unit. Pressing the eject button (short/long presses) don't appear to do anything.

Reading up on other forums, there is chatter that Audi disabled the eject button to stop people removing the map cd's to copy.

So my question is, has anyone had similar issue, and is there anyone in the West Sussex or surrounding area that may have a VCDS that could help diagnose / enable the eject button?

Thanks for your time.

Hi - had the same problem and my local garages did not the soft ware to unlock the unit. However I found a local auto electrian  who had the software and he successfully unlocked it.
