Display between the clock not working on my A4

Featured Replies

Hi can anyone help me please. The display on my 2006 A4 diesel (auto) went off a few weeks ago and I cannot find any info on line. The car drives fine in auto and semi-auto. Has anyone had this problem before.

And help will be much appreciated.

If the drivers information display has gone off altogether it will probably need a new instrument cluster.  You can try disconnecting the car battery negative terminal for half an hour though and re-connecting it.  This is a simple painless job and can sometimes bring them back to life.

I wouldn't have thought to disconnect the battery. That's definitely worth a try, a lot cheaper than replacing the cluster.

Glen.
