Hi,

I searched the site for 'ticking noise' but didn't really find anything. I made a little video and I'm hoping someone here might know what this noise is. It seems to be coming from the right hand side of the engine-well, more so than the left, I guess. This engine does have a timing chain [tensioner?] Any thoughts and opinions are really most welcome. Thanks!

Thanks. That noise could be many things. Does the noise change when the engine is revved in neutral? Does it change when revved under load?

Hey, Thanks for your replies.

I found an independent Audi mechanic nearby and had him take a listen. His exact words were, "what, that? that's just the fuel pump, thats normal".
